Zapiro speaks to the COSAT learners about their rights
7 May 2017 - 16:00
Well-known cartoonist Zapiro (Jonathan Shapiro) was invited to COSAT to speak at the assembly on the 29 March. This was part of the CWC drive to promote learners’ rights and self-empowerment.
Zapiro’s presentation centered on his experiences of South African history from his perspective, and how he stood up for what he believed in during the years pre and post-apartheid. He did so by using cartoons to depict the political landscape of the country then and now.
