The PLAY CONFERENCE, 11-13 July 2017 St Georges Hotel, Pretoria, was facilitated by Cotlands, Unicef, DBE, Lego Foundation. The main discussion: The Power of Play in preparing children for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century.

Tami and Sue visited the Bulungula Incubator from the 19-22 April. They worked with the Education Project manager from Bulungula and 4 teachers from 4 Gr R classes in the area. 3-5 hour training sessions took place over 3 afternoons.

SKA School Development Project
This project is based in Carnarvon in the Northern Cape. Our team of education specialists is working with the staff of Carnarvon Primary School with the purpose of improving education in Mathematics, Sciences, and Language.
The annual UCT mathematics competition took place on Thursday night, 07 April. 314 100UP learners between grades 9 - 12, from all 20 high schools in Khayelitsha, have participated in the competition.
Ferial Parker, project manager of the UCT 100UP project, had the privilege to visit and participate in the “IntoUniversity” program out in London, UK, to observe how their programs are implemented.
The MSED contracted the Schools Development Unit (SDU) at the University of Cape Town, to conceptualise and implement a Mathematics Bonds-Bee competition for senior phase learners across the district, representing an expansion of a previously run competition during 2014 in the Grasslow-Park Project.
